Aries is a cardinal fire sign with Mars as it's astrological ruling planet.

Mars is the planetary ruler for Aries the fixed fire sign that governs action that begins things. The cardinality, the fire, the mars rulership makes Aries for me, the dynamic fire sign that evokes strength, purpose, initiative and action. 

My three crystal picks for taping into Aries energy include crystals that will help you tap into the energy, power and creative impulse that lies within you. They are:   

• Garnet 
• Carnelian
• Ruby 

The Crystals

Garnet

Garnet is a bright red, fiery crystal of passion and is thought to be one of the oldest crystals used for spiritual protection throughout history. Its name comes from the Latin 'granatum' meaning pomegranate, due to how the crystal represents the seeds of this delicious fruit. 

Garnet is a powerful energising stone. It imbues you with vitality and energy needed to begin new ventures. 

Fire is the spiritual representation of transformation and transmutation. It represents the power to convert energies from one to another. It has been used throughout history in alchemical procedures and other metaphysical practices for this reason.' [Houston] 

For me, Garnet has been the stone to help me find some energy within when I was feeling very lethargic and void of energy. This crystal helps me find a sense of determination and drive needed to complete tasks. I love to pick this stone if theres work to be done that I just don't particularly feel like doing. It provides me with the drive to get on with it.  

I chose Garnet because of its ability to imbue your being with energy. Aries represents drive and determination and Garnet directly helps to harness this within you. Garnet provides the energy strength, courage and will to begin new, beneficial ventures and maintaining the assertion and warrior like spirit that you will need to follow through. 

Carnelian 

Carnelian is an beautiful variety of Chalcedony with a deep balmy red-orange hue. It can also occur in colours pink or brown. Here I will be focusing on the red-orange. 

Carnelian is a fantastic stabilising stone with a grounding energy. It will help add a sense of vigor and vitality to your being.

For me, Carnelian is a great stone to go for during the moon cycle. I find this stone quite feminine in vibration and I like to use it during my moon cycle to help me feel grounded and strong though my energies might be depleted. 

I chose Carnelian because of the way it stimulates, motivates and energises. But I find Carnelian more gentle than Garnet. I'd say Garnet is an active masculine fire crystal, whilst carnelian is an active feminine fire crystal.  

Aries is all about initiation, assertion and direction. Carnelian helps to harness these energies. 

Ruby

Ruby is an excellent stone for passion. It will infuse you with the life-force energy needed to achieve your goals with confidence and purpose.

I have used ruby when I was embarking on a new project and ruby provided me with the determination and relentlessness that allowed me to be constantly inspired and work towards goals with constant inspiration and drive.  

Ruby is one of my chosen stones to tap into Aries energy because of it's association with fire and heat. Ruby really helps the wearer to spring into action and remain determined and focused on the purpose.   

These are my choice of crystals that can be used to tap into Aries energy. I have chosen these stones because they all help to tap in to cardinal, fiery Aries vibes. Taking action to improve and achieve.  

Use these stones to access the energy and drive that you may be lacking.
